Is purchasing two 16 oz sodas too much of an inconvenience to help reverse a national health catastrophe?
Mayor, your megalomania has turned you into the laughing stock of the nation. Your "inconvenience" is not going to reverse a "national health catastrophe."
First, you're the mayor of a city called New York. Despite its population (ever shrinking due to your incompetence), it is not a nation.
Secondly, your job is to worry about crime, sewers, trash on the streets. Your job is not to reverse a "national health catastrophe." You're in New York. Get your grubby little mind off of my town, my state, and my nation.
The only thing you'll reverse with your 32-oz ban is your future political prospects, which I suppose is a good thing.
Third, don't you have other things to do? Is the city free of crime, sewage problems, trash problems? Perhaps your "court royal" is insulating you a bit too much, kissing your ass a little too often, and you've gone off into la-la land.
We live in ancient Rome, and we are surrounded by Caligulas with too much goddamn time on their hands who think far too highly of themselves.
